Expansion isnt going to happen. On the other hand, I have a feeling the costumes will the only thing to cost money. there looks to be a fair bit of in-game stuff moving along so hopefully some quests, rather than mini-scenes, will start popping up

If we all liked the same then we would all only need one armor skin Hmm, maybe I shouldnt mention that in case the GW2 team are looking >.<

some of my favourite armors are also some of the cheapest, but with many chars, I have a chance to try several styles ^.^

For all the haters that don't remember ALL of the rad stuff that got mplemented last year, allow me to recap:

Nicholas The Traveler(all of the stuff that came with him) Red Candy alone was enough to make this a great addition!
Zaishen Rewards
Zaishen Quests
Minipets like every year

I am sure I forgot some tings, but do any of you really, honestly think, that is all they will do this year for the 5th year? If you all have had it so much with ANET and GW in general, stop playing please. I have heard less Q.Q from 5 year olds at nappy time.

I was actually hoping for the actual white mantle warrior skins....

But now I don't have to switch between Assassin's Creed and Guild Wars!

I am kinda like this myself. I hate most of the female ele armor cause it just looks like something they should be going to bed in, not fighting, and so the Tyrian armor has actually ended up as one of my favs. Same goes with the Dervs, Paras (Elonan for both for me), Sins (Seitung) and some of the Ranger armor (prefer normal Druid over its elite sister)

2 things just crossed my mind:

1) it is a pity didnt segment the costumes when dying. you can only dye the helm and the body part, not dye gloves, top, bottom and boots like normal armor. would kinda make them a bit more interesting rather than all the same colour

2) the names. Shining Blade Uniform and White Mantle Disguise... Is there a deeper meaning here?

No, I totally see cancer patient party hats being offered during the birthday celebration for $5 a pop.

Well, there's no subscription fee and I doubt GW is selling a shitton of copies a month, and they have to pay for staff, keeping GW1 up, and developing a MMO, they have to do something to make more money.

I honestly don't see why people are against this. They're selling costumes, not weapons/armor with better stats, titles or PvP maps. If you don't like them, don't buy them, it's not like you're missing out on something amazing.

Wasn't there a group of people who used to scour the GW.dat for new info? where did they go! there has to be something!

And in the Q&A with Daniel Dociu he said they had something like 70 artists alone (not including staff in engineering and development departments) so they need to pay em somehow...

I just thought they would have something more then this, it was new and exciting at Wintersday, but its same ol' this time around.

I'm sure they have investors for GW2. Micro transactions isn't gonna cut it, sorry.

So yes, it has deeper meaning: they're both from the perspective of the Shining Blade.

Conclusion: players will always side with the Shining Blade in future quests.

Now in case anyone needs some confirmation that the costumes aren't all they're doing, here you go.

Who said that the costumes are the only thing you will see?
None of us, definitely.

but you dont have the decency to post the whole thing that i said. I asked if anyone honestly believed that this was the ONLY thing released for the 5th year. It obviously isn't, but people are still QQ'ing as if we already have the minipets for this year and all the decorations have been taken down. Next time you quote me, don't pull a FoxNews and get only the part that makes your argument out to be good, when you don't have an argument to begin with.
